UTOMO OBONG EFIK-2013
The Obong of Calabar Executive Forum (OCEF) of the Palace of the Obong of Calabar will hold her 2nd annual yuletide cultural homage to the Obong of Calabar, His Eminence, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V, Natural Ruler, Treaty King and Grand Patriarch of the Efik Kingdom on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at his country residence at Adiabo Ikot Mbo Otu (via Tinapa Road), Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria.

This reactivated tradition is a celebrated event on which occasion the component communities of the Efik Kingdom come out, in the spirit of loyalty, solidarity, kinship and friendship, to pay homage to their apex King. It also avails non-indigenous resident communities the opportunity to demonstrate their loyalty and goodwill to their host community represented by the Obong. Invited special guests also identify with the mood and sentiment of the occasion in various optional ways.

The Obong of Calabar Executive Forum (OCEF) of the Palace of the Obong of Calabar will hold her 4th annual yuletide cultural homage to the Obong of Calabar, His Eminence, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V, KSM; Natural Ruler, Treaty King and Grand Patriarch of the Efik Kingdom on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Obong’s country residence at Adiabo Ikot Mbo Otu (via Tinapa road), Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria at 10 am.
This reactivated tradition is a celebrated event on which occasion the component communities of the Efik Kingdom come out, in the spirit of loyalty, solidarity, kinship and friendship, to pay homage to their apex King. It also avails non-indigenous resident communities the opportunity to demonstrate their loyalty and goodwill to their host community represented by the Obong. Invited special guests also identify with the mood and sentiment of the occasion in various optional ways.
Against this backdrop therefore, messages of goodwill are requested from Efik sons and daughters at home and in the diaspora, to be published in the event’s souvenir programme.
